Outside of work, Fiona is a keen open-water marathon swimmer and has swum the English Channel (solo) and around Manhattan. In her spare time, she runs a sea swimming Community Interest Company, SeaSure, which provides structured courses for people to experience the mental health benefits of outdoor swimming.

Fiona Mildner – Seasure Brighton CIC

In her spare time, Fiona is the Director of Sea Sure Brighton a Community Interest Company who runs free sea swimming courses for groups who wouldn’t otherwise access the mental and physical benefits of outdoor swimming. As a qualified Open Water Coach and Beach Lifeguard, her and her team are going to be running a course this summer for the Outside 2 research project, an NHS-funded nationwide study into the impact of outdoors swimming on symptoms of depression and low mood.

Consumer Exec has supported Sea Sure with a donation to allow them to buy an inflatable rescue board, which enables them to provide safety cover and utilise different locations along the coastline.
